Medallion Signature Guarantees

If you are responsible for dealing with an estate involving North American assets, you will usually be asked to provide a medallion signature guarantee (also referred to as medallion guarantees, signatures or stamps). These are often insisted on by US transfer agents when managing the movement of assets as they limit liability and loss by safeguarding against forged signatures. They are not the same as surety bonds, although we can help with both.

Medallion signature guarantees are not easy to obtain if you are resident outside of the USA. However, we are one of the few law firms to have implemented a procedure that secures this type of guarantee for your assets.

As the process depends on the particular shares you hold, we ask that you provide details of your investments so that we can give you the best advice for your situation.
