Training Contracts Careers

We’re delighted to celebrate the achievements of our future solicitors who have successfully passed the first stage of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1).

Amy Sommers, Maelle Jackson and Natalie Annels have all passed SQE1 and will now begin preparing for SQE2 ahead of starting their training contracts with Lester Aldridge in September.

We are also celebrating SQE1 success for Byron Scott, Eimear Arnott, Emma Dawson, Helen Whitehouse and Serena Acanthe, all of whom work at LA and will be joining our trainee cohort this autumn. They will now progress to SQE2 as the next milestone on their qualification journey.

In addition, Will Stevens, one of our Graduate Solicitor Apprentices, has successfully passed SQE1 and will now start working towards SQE2 as part of his apprenticeship pathway.

The SQE is a rigorous assessment designed to ensure aspiring solicitors have the legal knowledge and skills needed to practise. Passing SQE1 is an important achievement and we are incredibly proud of Amy, Maelle, Natalie, Byron, Eimear, Emma, Helen, Serena and Will for their dedication and determination in reaching this stage.

These accomplishments reflect the strength of our developing talent and the supportive learning environment we strive to foster at Lester Aldridge. We look forward to seeing what comes next for each of them as they continue their journey toward qualification.

Applications for training contracts starting in 2028 are now open and close on 12 April. Find out more on our Training Contracts page.
