Lester Aldridge is delighted to welcome three new trainee solicitors as they begin their two-year training contracts with the firm.

Skeet Northfield, Chiara Parrella, and Joseph Endacott will each complete four six-month ‘seats’ across different departments at the firm’s offices in London, Southampton, and Bournemouth. During this time, they will work closely with a wide range of clients, from high-profile corporates to high-net-worth individuals, gaining valuable experience under the guidance and supervision of Lester Aldridge’s skilled lawyers.

The trainees will be fully integrated into the teams they work with, participating in all aspects of the firm’s activities, including business development, team meetings, training sessions, social events, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Many of the firm’s current partners and solicitors, including Managing Partner Matthew Barrow, began their legal careers by completing a training contract at Lester Aldridge. This two-year programme is designed to provide trainees with the support and hands-on experience necessary to qualify as solicitors, equipping them with the legal expertise and advisory skills required.

Skeet, Chiara, and Joseph are already familiar faces at Lester Aldridge, having previously gained experience with the firm in roles such as paralegals or through work experience placements.

Kate Stewart, Partner and Training Principal at Lester Aldridge, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Skeet, Chiara, and Joseph to their new roles as trainee solicitors. After successfully navigating a challenging recruitment process, we are looking forward to supporting them in developing their skills and expertise during their training contracts. We believe it’s vital for our trainees to feel valued and to see the impact of their work—we aim to offer the ideal environment for them to grow into the firm’s future leaders.”

The application process for Lester Aldridge’s training contracts is highly competitive, beginning with an online application form followed by a rigorous interview process. The interview includes a Watson Glaser critical thinking test, group exercise, partner-led interview, and a drafting exercise in a relevant area of law, alongside a partner introduction. Applications for training contracts starting in 2027 will open in early 2025. For more information, please click here.
