Lester Aldridge is pleased to welcome eight new trainee solicitors who have joined the law firm’s training programme.

Scott Smid, Helen Whitaker, Alicia Rice, Finola Whelan, Elliot Leadbeater, Rosalind Waite, Charlotte Jasicki and Amy Lundie have started their two-year training contract. Seven out of eight of the group have been working as paralegals at Lester Aldridge in various departments prior to starting their training.

The trainee solicitors will undertake placements in four different “seats” at the firm, gaining expertise in a variety of legal specialisms as they become fully integrated members of each team.

When asked why she applied to LA for a training contract, new trainee Rosalind Waite, told us: “I applied to Lester Aldridge because it is a well-respected law firm along the South Coast with an established training contract programme. Additionally, the firm offers a wide range of legal services, meaning there is a variety of interesting seats on offer!”

Another of the new trainees, Elliot Leadbeater, said: “I chose to apply to LA for a training contract because of the breadth and quality of the legal work undertaken here as well as the firm’s strong emphasis on the development of its people.”

Matthew Barrow, the Managing Partner at Lester Aldridge, commented: “I am delighted to welcome our new cohort of trainees as they begin their journey to becoming qualified solicitors. Our trainees are a key part of the future of the firm and I am looking forward to seeing them develop throughout their training contract.”
