Training Contracts at Lester Aldridge

During a training contract with LA, you will have the opportunity to experience four six-month seats in a variety of our practice areas across our three offices. Our trainee solicitors are an integral part of each team they work with. You will work with many of our enviable clients, from large, high-profile corporates to high-net-worth individuals, with the support and supervision of our exceptional lawyers.

One of the unique aspects of training at LA is the opportunity to gain experience in our niche practice areas, including health & social care, marine, aviation, and international probate & estates. Exposure to these specialised areas provides our trainees with valuable expertise that sets them apart in their legal careers.

Our trainees play an integral role in each team they join. They receive support and supervision while working on real client matters and are encouraged to contribute to the wider firm through team meetings, training, and social events. Each trainee is also assigned a training principal and receives regular feedback through formal appraisals. Our senior leadership team, including the managing partner, hosts quarterly trainee meetings, providing a platform for discussion on legal sector developments and the firm’s direction.
