South Coast law firm Lester Aldridge is delighted to announce that Lisa Watson-Cook has been promoted from senior associate to partner.
Lisa joined Lester Aldridge last year from a top ten federated charity to head up the firm’s Charities & Social Enterprise team.
Lisa’s huge experience in the operational environment for charities, large and small, means she can help trustees and charity professionals put in place the structures they need to serve their communities more effectively.
Lisa said: “I am honoured to join the partnership and delighted to have been given the opportunity to help build the charities practice at Lester Aldridge, giving our valued not-for-profit clients the specialist support they require in these challenging times. It has been a successful first year and I look forward to expanding on that for the future.”
Grant Esterhuizen, Partner and Head of the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team, said: “I am happy to congratulate Lisa on her well-deserved promotion and welcome her to the partnership. Her unique insight and knowledge of the sector help us to deliver the best possible service to our charity clients.”
Not-for-profit clients of the firm include foundations, clubs, mutuals, almshouses, and membership charities of all sizes, and in all parts of the country, with a particular specialism in the care and animal welfare sector. During the past year, the charity team has strengthened its relationships with clients, supporting them through the challenges – and the opportunities – brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
