Lester Aldridge welcomes new senior associate Nicole Ridgwell to its Healthcare team, who joins the law firm’s London office.
Health and social care law specialist Nicole began her career in the charity and immigration law sectors before moving into the health and social care sector. Since then she has worked closely with a range of clients, enjoying roles in a trade union, representing nurses and healthcare assistants, and within private practice, representing healthcare professionals, independent health and social care providers and NHS Trusts.
Nicole provides legal advice to registered healthcare professionals on a range of public and administrative law matters, from fitness to practise investigations to challenges against CQC and Ofsted on behalf of private providers and NHS Trusts. She writes regularly for a variety of health and social care publications and presents at conferences and seminars for professionals in the healthcare industry.
Laura Guntrip, partner and head of Healthcare at Lester Aldridge, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicole to the LA family, to work alongside us in supporting care providers and healthcare professionals through the various challenges they face. Nicole brings some great experience, which will complement the strength of the team and breadth of our services, and increase our capacity to continue providing a high-quality service, tailored to the needs of our clients.”
Healthcare law is a leading area of expertise for Lester Aldridge and one for which the firm has a national reputation. The team was recently ranked in both The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal directories, which are based on in-depth client and peer reviews. One client told the Legal 500: “They are unique in that no other legal firm has their experience or knowledge… In truth, they are light years ahead of others and are a firm I would and have recommended.”
