LA and CILEX

LA has a long history of offering financial support to CILEX students. We have a wide range of CILEX at the firm, ranging from people just starting out to partners and directors.

We are always looking for ways to improve and support our employees.

Following feedback from staff, we are delighted to be launching our new CILEX mentoring scheme. All CILEX students holding a qualification status below that of Fellow will be appointed a CILEX mentor.

What will my mentor help with?

Mentors can help with all types of support, including but not limited to help with technical issues, assistance with studying and revision, being a soundboard where required, offering career development advice etc. Everyone who is a mentor has volunteered to be one, so they have chosen to be invested in your development.

For those who are considering the CILEX route, but want to chat it through with someone who has been there and got the t-shirt, then please contact HR, and they will put you in touch with one of our CILEX mentors.

What if I want to be a mentor?

If you would like to be a CILEX mentor and have not already spoken with HR about this, please contact the HR Desk.

When is this launching?

Our launch lunch will take place on Wednesday, 5 July 2023, at Russell House. All mentors and mentees will be invited for an informal lunch event.

In the meantime, LA wants to wish all of their CILEX students the very best of luck with their impending exams. We know this can be a particularly difficult time. If you need support between now and our official launch, please do not hesitate to contact HR, who can put you in touch with a mentor to help you. Please also make use of our Mental Health Champions and Mental Health First Aiders should you feel you need to.
