We’re delighted to share that Philippa Davies, Senior Associate in our Court of Protection team, has been shortlisted for Court of Protection Lawyer of the Year at the Twilight Awards 2026, organised by Lifetime Lawyers. The awards recognise professionals who make an outstanding contribution to supporting older and vulnerable people.

The shortlist reflects Philippa’s dedication to helping some of society’s most vulnerable individuals, many of whom have no family or friends available to advocate on their behalf. Through her Court of Protection and deputyship work, she supports clients with a wide range of financial, property and welfare matters, always focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for those in her care.

For Philippa, Court of Protection work is about far more than managing finances. It is about understanding each client’s individual circumstances and helping them enjoy the highest possible quality of life.

Her award submission highlighted the story of a client living with a traumatic brain injury who had become increasingly isolated and disengaged. Working closely with a case manager, occupational therapist and support worker, Philippa helped put in place a tailored package of support that enabled the client to take part in activities he enjoys, build meaningful relationships and engage more positively with those around him.

Philippa has spent the past decade developing her Court of Protection practice and has recently been appointed as a joint deputy on a number of panel deputyship cases. She has also played an important role in the growth of Lester Aldridge’s Court of Protection team, which has expanded significantly in recent years.

The winners of the Twilight Awards 2026 will be announced at a ceremony in London in November.
