The independent public body that regulates the conduct and standard of practice of all solicitors registered in England and Wales is known as the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
The SRA has the ability and power, granted by Parliament, to ‘intervene into’ or close down firms of solicitors if they believe it is in the best interest of clients and the public.
An Intervention Agent appointed by the SRA, such as ourselves, helps with this process by collecting files from the intervened firm on the day of the intervention.
