Serious Injuries Caused by Road Traffic Accident

Our client claimed damages for personal injury arising from a road traffic accident. The Defendant was driving a flatbed lorry with an unsecured load, causing a scaffolding pole to come loose. The pole impacted with the side of the Claimant’s car, penetrating through the metalwork and into the Claimant’s right thigh, causing extensive injuries.

The Defendant fled the scene of the accident and left the Claimant and her two young children. He later received a custodial sentence.

The Claimant required multiple surgeries and has been left with very severe scarring in addition to psychological injuries. She will require at least three future scar revision procedures, which have been factored into her settlement figure.
