Chantal has extensive experience as a solicitor and accredited family mediator, with a strong background in advising individuals through complex and often emotionally charged matters. She now applies this depth of legal knowledge and interpersonal sensitivity to the regulation of health and social care services.
Chantal advises and supports providers across a range of adult and children’s social care services, including residential and nursing care homes, domiciliary care services, supported living schemes, children’s homes, and independent hospitals. She assists clients with responding to regulatory action and enforcement by bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Ofsted, including preparing representations, responding to factual accuracy challenges, and drafting submissions for ratings reviews. She also supports providers and witnesses in respect of Coroner’s inquests.
Her mediation background and empathetic approach are particularly valuable when dealing with sensitive issues such as safeguarding concerns, serious incidents and Coroner’s Inquests.
Chantal qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and became an accredited family mediator in 2015. She has worked in the legal sector for nearly two decades and has held consultancy roles combining legal advice with mediation and training responsibilities. She has also previously served as an assessor and panel member for key family mediation oversight bodies.
