Daniel has spent his career to date working for private practice regional law firms. He has gained experience in a number of legal areas including Employment, Real Estate and Family. Daniel has spent the past 2 years working in Commercial Litigation where he dealt with a variety of contentious matters, as well as providing general commercial advice to business clients. Daniel shall draw upon the experience and skills he has acquired during this time, upon commencing his role in the firm’s Restructuring and Insolvency department.
Over the past two years, Daniel has been acting for businesses and individuals on a multitude of commercial contractual disputes. This has provided him with exposure to numerous aspects of commercial law including intellectual property, data protection, license agreements, supply and distribution etc. His work to date has enabled him to develop strong negotiation skills in agreeing settlements and proposals to conclude matters to the satisfaction of both parties, which is helped by his excellent commercial awareness.
Daniel is a good communicator and places great importance in identifying and delivering on clients’ objectives. His background in litigation has also provided Daniel with some exposure to courtroom advocacy and other public speaking, and he prides himself on being able to communicate with clients on a face-to-face basis.
His role within the Insolvency department at Lester Aldridge will involve advising creditors affected by insolvency with a view to maximizing recoveries from insolvent entities or individuals. He will also advise on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring, acting mainly for insolvency practitioners in connection with their formal appointments including administrations, liquidations, voluntary arrangements and bankruptcies.
