Emma has a range of generalist and specialist HR experience, including employee relations, recruitment, policy preparation and implementation, benefits and graduate assessment programmes. She has been involved in selecting and implementing new processes and introducing new HR systems. Emma has dealt with various employee relation cases, including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy and occupational health.
Emma joined the firm in 1997 and has had a diverse career, having worked in several roles in both fee-earning and business support teams. Emma Starmer has been a CILEX Member – Advanced Paralegal since 2003. She then qualified as a Chartered Member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) in 2009 before becoming a Chartered Fellow in 2023.
Emma has worked in a variety of HR generalist and managerial roles since 2002, including holding the position of Head of HR for several years and, more recently, supporting senior managers and partners in the role of Senior HR Business Partner.
