Janet supports a wide range of matters within the charities sector, helping trustees and organisations feel confident as they navigate legal and regulatory requirements. She takes time to understand the unique needs of each charitable client and is committed to helping them achieve their objectives and deliver meaningful impact within their communities.

Her work with charities is complemented by her experience in the Corporate and Commercial team. Janet assists with a variety of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, company governance and a broad range of commercial agreements.

Janet is diligent and attentive, ensuring she understands the wider context of each matter so she can provide pragmatic and well reasoned advice. Before joining Lester Aldridge, she gained experience across Corporate and Commercial, Private Client and Real Estate.

She joined Lester Aldridge in the Charities and Corporate and Commercial teams upon qualifying as a solicitor in January 2026.

A career changer with a background in Fine Art and Marketing, Janet began her legal career as a Lead Paralegal at a regional firm in Sussex. She later moved to another Sussex based regional firm to complete her training contract, gaining experience in Real Estate, Private Client, Corporate and Commercial and Court of Protection before qualifying as a solicitor.
