Jessica specialises in shipping and logistics within the LA Marine team. She has worked on a range of wet and dry shipping matters including salvage and pollution, cargo claims and claims under bills of lading, hull fouling, speed and performance, laytime and demurrage, off hire and general charterparty agreement disputes.
She has assisted in various matters representing vessel owners, charterers, freight forwarders, P&I clubs, marine insurers and cargo receivers. Jessica has experience in English Court proceedings as well as international arbitration and has also assisted clients in non-contentious shipping matters including ship finance and sale transactions.
Jessica has a particular interest in green shipping and sustainable shipping solutions (CII and EEXI and alternative fuels such as Ammonia, LNG and Hydrogen).
Jessica gained valuable knowledge working and living in Australia and London prior to joining LA.

- Arbitration under LMAA terms defending Charterers against a claim for hire (underperformance/ overconsumption/ hull fouling).
- Arbitration under LMAA terms defending Charterers in a claim for demurrage.
- Arbitration under the Lloyds Salvage Arbitration Branch under an open LOF.
- Ship Arrests in the Admiralty Court.
- Acting for cargo receivers and advising on cargo claims as well as container detention and demurrage charges.
- Advising on the exercise of liens over cargo.
- Advising on laytime and demurrage provisions.
- Acting for Charterers in a ShellNG Time2 Time Charterparty for the carriage of LNG.
- Other marine and yachting disputes.
