Her experience includes advising on employment contracts, workplace disputes, disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies, settlement agreements and Employment Tribunal claims.
She works with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, SMEs, larger organisations and charitable bodies. Jo aims to offer straightforward and pragmatic advice that helps clients resolve issues efficiently and with confidence.
Her approach centres on understanding each client’s objectives from the outset and identifying the most effective route to achieving them. Clients appreciate Jo’s calm and approachable manner, her attention to detail and her ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible way.
- Advising on and drafting a suite of employment contracts, consultancy agreements and policies for a newly incorporated company.
- Negotiating settlements and preparing settlement agreements.
- Advising on grievance and disciplinary processes and drafting supporting documents.
- Advising on claims involving whistleblowing, discrimination and breach of contract.
Jo originally completed a Masters degree in Marine Biology before moving into law. She began her legal career in a niche litigation practice and completed her training within the commercial and employment team of a local legal practice. She qualified in 2023.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys cycling and hiking and is also a keen diver who enjoys exploring the many shipwrecks along the South Coast.
