With over 15 years’ experience in the legal sector, including roles as a Residential Property Lawyer and Head of Department, Karen brings a strong commercial and operational perspective to her role as Head of Learning and Organisational Development. Having transitioned into People and Organisational Development five years ago, she has built experience across both the public and private sectors.
Karen leads the organisation’s learning and organisational development strategy, focusing on building capability, strengthening leadership, and supporting long-term organisational performance. She has particular expertise in early careers development, including legal and non-legal apprenticeships, alongside a broader focus on leadership, management, and organisational effectiveness.
Her work spans the design and delivery of impactful development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence, resilience, communication, and personal effectiveness. She is passionate about creating inclusive learning cultures that enable individuals and teams to thrive.
Recent Work
Karen has recently led the development and launch of new apprenticeship programmes, alongside the design and implementation of a new organisation-wide trainee development program. Her work supports the growth of future talent pipelines while enhancing leadership capability and driving organisational performance.
