Recent work
- Acting for a pedestrian who was injured in a road traffic collision when he crossed the road at night-time on a country road who suffered severe brain injury and orthopaedic injuries. Liability was robustly disputed but settlement on split liability basis was agreed shortly before a liability trial was due to commence, resulting in a significant six figure settlement.
- Acting for a father whose partner tragically died 2 days after giving birth to their daughter as a result of clinical negligence on behalf of the hospital Trust, supporting the family at inquest and securing an early admission of liability and early settlement of a six-figure sum.
- Acting for a client who suffered an injury to his thumb from a fall who developed a severe infection whilst in hospital which was not treated adequately by the hospital Trust, resulting in a joint fusion. Liability was denied but a six-figure settlement was achieved without the need for litigation.
