Rachel has considerable experience of a wide range of property dispute matters, including a variety of commercial and residential lease disputes (such as breach of covenant, forfeiture, dilapidations) and land issues (such as boundaries, trespass, damage and rights of way) acting for both companies and private individuals.
Recent examples of work or case studies:
- Representing individuals in successful Court proceedings regarding access and parking at their industrial unit.
- Acting for clients in a claim for considerable damage caused by water ingress from an unknown location which required extensive investigation, pre-action applications to protect their interests and negotiation to reach a favourable financial settlement.
- Advising a large company on the interpretation of restrictive covenants affecting their proposed business use of a site/preventing competing use by another company.
- Drafting an application for adverse possession of areas of land outside of the business client’s title and submitting to the Land Registry for consideration.
