Sasha has experience across a broad range of matters, including shipping disputes (such as charterparty issues, vessel performance, and yacht-related disputes), as well as commercial and insurance-related claims. She also advises on sanctions issues in both domestic and international contexts.

She has acted for international companies, charterers, vessel owners, and individuals, providing legal advice in both English and Russian.

Previously based in London, Sasha has worked at firms specialising in shipping, insurance, and commercial law.

• Representing a claimant in the High Court in London in a dispute concerning a demand for indemnity in respect of a superyacht valued at over €100 million, and a declaration of entitlement under a marine insurance policy.
• Acting for a retrocessionaire in relation to recoveries made by a US reinsurer under a marine cargo excess of loss reinsurance policy for cargo damaged during a transatlantic crossing.
• Advising vessel owners regarding unpaid detention sums accrued while a vessel was awaiting inspection prior to the expiry of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
