Zoya is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted to practise in both England and Wales and India. She brings over five years of post-qualification experience, including four years in India and one year in the UK.
She specialises in property litigation and dispute resolution, helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence.
Before joining Lester Aldridge, Zoya worked as an in-house legal consultant in London, advising on a wide range of matters such as boundary disputes, breaches of restrictive covenants, construction-related conflicts, rights of access under the Access to Neighbouring Lands Act 1992, and commercial disputes.
Zoya has experience managing contentious claims in the High Court and Court of Appeal. She also has specialist knowledge of the insurance sector, particularly in relation to after-the-event (ATE) insurance.
Passionate about delivering practical and strategic solutions, Zoya takes time to understand her clients’ unique needs and works closely with them to achieve the best possible outcome.
Zoya began her legal career at a full-service law firm in Mumbai. After practising for four years, she moved to the UK to complete a master’s in law at Queen Mary University of London. She qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2024 before joining Lester Aldridge.
Recent Work
- Advised on a complex property dispute between freehold owners of central London properties concerning rights and usage of a shared roadway.
- Acted in a claim under Section 2(9) of the Access to Neighbouring Lands Act 1992, where claimants sought access to the defendant’s property for repairs. The dispute arose when permission was denied because the proposed works would halt the defendant’s development and cause significant financial loss.
- Advised on a construction dispute involving a masonry and brickwork company contracted to carry out development works.
