Lester Aldridge has launched a new set of employment toolkits to help care providers prepare for the upcoming mandatory Covid vaccination requirements being introduced by the UK government.

Employment and healthcare solicitors at Lester Aldridge are receiving a large number of queries and concerns over the new coronavirus regulations* from care homes. Last week a joint webinar between the two teams on mandatory vaccinations had over 200 registrations to attend the event and many requests to view the recording post-event.

The regulations state that from 11 November 2021, registered managers and providers must ensure that they do not allow anyone entry into a care home unless they have completed a course of an approved Covid-19 vaccine or fall into one of the exempt categories.

To assist providers in preparing for the regulations, Lester Aldridge is offering two toolkits of template letters and guidance, which will be available for a fixed fee:

  • A recruitment pack to ensure compliance with the regulations when taking on new staff.
  • A staff management pack providing the key documents and guidance concerning their existing staff.
  • There will also be the option to add three hours of advice throughout the process from a solicitor at a fixed cost.
