We’re interested in attracting the legal talent of the future, and that’s why we offer great opportunities for graduates who we feel have the ability to shine. We’ll expect you to have academic qualifications, but we’ll also be looking for someone who’s resourceful and who knows how to get on with people.
Training consists of four six-month seats in a variety of contentious and non-contentious teams. You’ll be given the chance to work with high-profile commercial clients, high net-worth private clients and exceptional lawyers.
You’ll become an integral part of each team and be encouraged to participate in departmental or team meetings as well as training and development programmes.
We’ll also give you constructive feedback, so you can learn where you’re doing well, and how you might be able to improve. In return we want you to feel that you can talk openly about your feelings too. You’ll have monthly meetings with your training principal and regular formal appraisals to keep you up to date with how everything’s going.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, we’re looking for candidates with a minimum ABB at A level (or equivalent) and a minimum 2:1 in their undergraduate degree.
You have to be really committed to the law (and legal work experience does help with your application) but we also think it’s important that we understand your ambitions. We’re not just interested in academic ability – you also need to demonstrate you’ve got the right attitude and a willingness to work hard.
We want someone who stands out from the crowd and values diverse life experiences.
