We are delighted to wish Grace Long, Trainee Solicitor, loads of luck as she represents Lester Aldridge, taking on the Sahara Trek 2024 on behalf of The Katie Piper Foundation.

This event, the Katie Piper Foundation’s first overseas challenge, will raise money for burns survivors. Participants, including Grace, start their adventure today. Grace and others will travel to Marrakech before embarking on a gruelling trek in extreme heat for two full days and two half days, camping in the Moroccan desert each night. 

The Katie Piper Foundation aspires to raise enough funds to support 20 weeks of Rehabilitation Stays for survivors at Rainford Hall with intensive support from specialist burns and scar physiotherapists, psychosocial support, and all the preparation and follow-up care needed.”

Grace was inspired to take part whilst completing a training position in the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department and working closely on a case involving a burns survivor whom the Foundation had helped.

Grace says: “I am very excited to be taking part in a trek across the Sahara in support of the Katie Piper Foundation. Through my work at Lester Aldridge, I have been fortunate to see the impact of some of the life-changing work the KPF does to support victims of burns and scarring. This is a wonderful opportunity to help them raise funds to continue their work with victims in their rehabilitation centre. I’m really eager to get started!”.
